  7. Short term that is the best way forward, get a ballpark price then we look for funding to support it, if it works we take the idea national :-/
  8. I think hiring them is best in the short term and passing on all his knowledge to fanciers that want involved, if you have a liberation in your area get your club secretary to write to the local falconer to come along before the liberation, although I can see contingency plans needed for late libs and holdovers Hiring one to fly his bird in an area of high hawk population would also be a possibility A pilot scheme somewhere in the UK for a fancier to home, care breed and train birds for the above, ideal person would have space and time also interested in both Hawks and pigeons :-/

  14. There are plenty of cloud backgrounds on Google image etc, or just use search engine and put in blue sky background, you want as big a file as possible. Then you crop the bird in Corel Draw, I use version 9 and paste it onto the background, you then do the same with the eye of the bird. I always save as a jpeg then add info in Corel Draw or Microsoft Word Basic one I done for Peckedhen Original pic in a blue box

    To make money?

I am making money out of pigeons :-/ I have never sold anything on the site, I do make dove cotes and breed fantails to sell with them and next year I plan to make other pigeon products. I have given away well in excess of 200 birds to members on the site this year and I am sure members like Valiant and Tammy etc will tell you some were good quality racing pigeons :-/ If some one does it better than me then good luck to them and would even help them in their quest as I am sure members will verify even you Vic We can't all be clones of Vic :-/
  17. I am willing to put money in and help raise money for this cause, we need a national campaign and a network of people to carry out all the tasks so we have them in all areas Caring for it and training them needs commitment Using them for the benefit of members throughout the country needs comitment Releasing them just before liberations needs commitment Flying them in problem areas needs commitment We will not get national support for one that is kept in wales and does no good, but we can can have a pilot project in Wales and get everything right first, then take it and promote it to all the areas Or do we hire a falconer with the money and ask him to help us with the birds he already has :-/

Only till it had a crap ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Great thing is all the chips around the nest would not be as easy to find as rings are by the Pro hawk brigade, also would show up in predators crap as well for the anti predator brigade
  19. I think so I have seen some at the smaller shows, I am sure there would be a market for the winning bird and their owners You never know till you try I used to import and sell martial arts equipment, I hired a stall at at the European Judo Championships at the NIA at Birmingham it cost me £1000 for three days trading plus travel accommodation etc, I took £400 but I made a lot after the event from the contacts I made over the three days I went from Fife to Dunoon for a two day event and sold one T-shirt, next week at Larkhall for a one day event I took £2000 :-/ :-/ :-/ But hey thems the breaks :-/

I wish I had it last week :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( I am sure they have something in place or up and coming with ETS rings, although a chip inserted in the bird woud stop anyone from changing the rings or stealing them :-/
