Definately, how else would they make a profit. These guys that mass produce lofts/sheds may be able to buy wood cheaper than trade prices and retail prices which either increases their profit margin or enables them to sell cheaper.

Maybe, I might get it cheaper by the ton ;D The only way a feed business can survive is on a supply and demand basis, there is not a big mark up in pigeon feed as it is a competitive market but if you had the volume turn over then you can make a crust. I used to work on 50%-100% mark up in sports goods you ain't going to do that in feed supplies especially in Scotland

I looked at it from home but the problem with most homes is products like food comes in pallets and tonne loads on lorries which you would have to unload by hand in all weathers unless you had a fork lift in the garage. Any unit has to be easily found, ample parking and easy access to both the customers and suppliers. Regards products you will never get it right all the time and only time tells what sells and what doesn't, I don't think selling birds would be a great idea but using it as a hub for couriers would be worth a thought

I always have business plans ;D ;D ;D I am lucky that I get my feeding cheap but you can't always get what you need at the times you need it without spending £15-£20 in diesel and two hours of your time going to Edinburgh or Perth or wait a few weeks till the next order comes in :-/ If there was enough interest then someone could lease a unit that was central and easy to find in Fife and stock a few things that you can only get at shows as well as feeding, it could also cater for other avian needs

I though all hotels were non smoking now :-/

Out of interest, do you think that there would be enough interest to sustain a unit in Fife supplying feed and products for pigeons and other birds. We have them in Edinburgh and Perth, not sure about Dundee but if we were in that direction it could cover both It could also act as a hub for couriers :-/

Just get some old electrical cable and strip the sheathing off it and run the copper wire along each side of your tiles

That is the best thing if it is possible to attach copper to the area

Why does it have moss on it Brian? Older buildings can be pressure washed but most newer ones can't take it. I have an acid that you can brush or spray on that will kill it completely, you could use bleach, jeyes fluid or off the shelf moss killers but it will come back
