would be a fantastic idea for PIGEONS in the West of Scotland, all the way to France if "me" had my way. But as you have just read, sadly senior officials of the Lanarkshire fed are more interested in token tickets and recognition for performances from inland races. Nothing wrong in appreciating great birds performing from any distance, but this is an opportunity that will be missed much to detriment of PIGEONS in west central Scotland shame really.
some of the nonsense printed in this thread is completely laughable if you have ever spoken to any of the poor ex members of the now disbanded Kirkintilloch RPC who will tell you exactly the devious methods used by the office bearers to extract the club from the Glasgow Fed in order to get into the east section of the SNFC. FACT - It is now decided by the SNFC (from roundabout 2004)what section existing members of the club are allowed to fly in, nothing to do with individual clubs or feds. Still, I find it is disturbing there are some members of this forum who will believe anything they are fed. By the way I am back lads ITS AMAZING WHAT SOME NEW DRUGS CAN DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess I disagree with most of the posts so far, if you are racing hens especially, same routine, same routine, change completely, then revert. Hope this helps.
During the early part of the year if they look fine not a lot. If you are "hammering" them later in the year "B12" and not a lot more. Let your eye be the judge!
Hugh had a yeast problem with his birds a few years back and that was when he started using it. I have used it in the bath water for many years, but you have to be careful when you use it if you have birds feeding youngsters.
Nope Bruno lad you are wrong, if I remember we had this "discussion" many moons ago(we must be getting old) the header tank is the tank providing water in chicken sheds for example. Virkon s can be used in the drinking fountains and the dosage is the thing to get right I would use 2.5ml to the gallon but it is not a product you would use everyday and most certainly not when there was youngsters you wanted in the nest. Use when convenient for 3 days then follow with multivits and then a probiotic for at least 3 days after that.
No one using this drug correctly and responsibly would damage a birds immune system.
The second point quoted is absolute nonsense, it is not that long ago that vet medicines had no use by dates whatsoever.
