  1. Hi All

A very good friend of mine who is 70 years of age wants to sell 3 pairs of top staf van reet breeding. His name is Fred Evans of the West Mids which he took 18 1st prizes last year in stong clubs. He paid alot of money for these birds and have bred winners. He is asking £400 for the 3 pairs which to me is a very good deal as they are the cream. He will split the pairs.

Any intrest please phone Fred Evans - 01384 78924 Pensnett West Mids..

Sorry no photos as he no PC but your welcome to go and look.

  2. the welsh north road fed has flown from  lerwick for many years, thurso is a very well known race..(a m8)club member has won the national from there..a new car.

clashing will happen anywhere in the uk,we fly s/east and we come through north and south birds.

I do agree with the above. If we race from France we clash with the French birds and when they cross the channel we could clash with the inland birds. But Stew 75 when you send south your birds  are clashing with North road flyers who have same right to be there as anyone else...

  3. Also think why the parents may have left the eggs. It could be the parents have red mite or something that is disturbing them. Put some dummy eggs back in there nest they might even go back on. There also might be another bossy cock about the nest sometimes they will desert this way as well. Hope this maybe some help.

  4. North road you get alot more head winds we flew north this year and we were lucky to win 10 out of 13 races others in our fed there birds were dropping like flys. I bet they dont vote to go north. But we enjoyed this hard route so much we are going to try and join a North road club next year. There were only 2 races over 1400 ypm and to me thats true racing..

  5. Baytril and many other antibiotics are so easy to get on the net now without needing a vet.And on the black market in the UK with no labels on with the correct does rate etc. And fanciers are thinking where are all these Super bugs coming from they only have themselves to blame and the black market suppliers..

  6. It all should be fun thats why i fly pigeons. I am not an eye man never will be just dont like bull eyed birds. I let Mr basket do the talking and never had a bull win myself. No bull. I got hit by a bull once and that didnt do me any good either.  ;)

  7. A bull eye is an Albino eye.Alot of white birds have bull eyes which came from inbreeding to get pure whites along time ago.Alot of bull eyes comes from inbreeding which weakens the eye. If you look into the Oxford dictionary it tells you an Albino eye is a person or animal with no natural colouring in eye. It has no pigment.

  8. I did not say that a Bull eyed pigeons cannot win on a hot day but i would say a lighter eyed pigeons can cope with strong sunlight. If bull eyed birds were better racers we would have a large percent of Champions with bull eyes. But we dont. This is why birds of prey have very light eyes they can attak whithout being glared by the sun. Fact.

  9. I have had a Widowhood cock trying to pair up to the other cocks which upset the whole team. He was a pure Anrie Van de rhee well bred so put him in the stock loft and bingo bred 1st Fed in his first nest so it was a blessing.. :)
