  1. British Barcelona Club were held at Niort until today but they liberated at 08.10 this morning, they have members in all parts of the British Isles, you just cannot work out how these race controllers think at times.

mental, I think the sooner they get them up the better chance they have on getting home.

On saturday morning one fed liberated at Falaise when our fed could have followed and the birds would have been home (or at least some)

I dont know what to say. The only positive thing if they go up tomorrow is that they got the wind behind them so should make it alot easier for the poor sods. I will be happy just to get them home.

I hope they are up tomorrow and i hope my 3 cocks all come home, but if they aren't up tomorrow i really think they should look at bringing them home, If it isn't going to improve they don't want to be stuck in a basket for more nights than they have to be do they? :\

  2. It is crazy. Looking at the weather there is rain all down the south coast for tomorrow and wednesday. The best day looks like thursday. Have yours been held over as we havnt heard anything yet.

mental, i've not looked today at the weather but i think they should have been up Saturday, if one can let go and get them over the channel then it can't have been as bad as they said, Ours are been held over until tomorrow now and see what happens then, If they aren't up tomorrow they should really think about bringing them back, Poor things been stuck in a basket for days and then having to fly 313miles home!

  3. Hi Andy im flying with ubi combine and we sre at falaise and our birds aint been released yet. The weather tomorrow and wednesday is worse, So i dont know what they are going do.

It's just out of order. our fed sec has just put on the lib line that the weather is getting better and they could be up tomorrow. with the weather forcast i had look at y'day was a better day so god knows,

North midlands was at Fougeres on saturday and was liberated at 7,30am

  4. Our birds are at falaise, they wasn't up yday due to poor weather but the north midlands birds was up from over the channel. Today the birds aren't up again, they should have been up yday and saved them from more days stuck in the basket!

  5. READ THE POST.....QUOTE MISSING 3 BIRDS ALL PREVIOUS OFFENDERS....DID THEY REDEEM THEMSELVES ....I rest my case....once again jumping in without reading what people are saying.

Dispose of them the 1st time the did something wrong, he gave them a chance and this time i backfired. However like i stated before hand birds needs a 2nd chance and good on him for doing so.

If a new fancier (which theres plenty on here) read that and thought 'oh that bird stopped out, clearly no good in the bin it must go' when really they should think, 'well it came home, I will give it another chance'

  6. first of all let me state I never use sarcasm, now go back and read what I said ....the winner you quoted that topped the fed on several occasions I said "failed to return and that no-one really new what happened to the bird" there is a big difference.you also claim I said "If a bird failed to get rid of and dont breed from it THINK....IF IT FAILED IT WOULD NOT BE THERE TO DISPOSE OF IT.....you finaly claim that loads of good birds get lost each year and if you loose any bird,it deserves another chance....if you lose a pigeon how can you give it another chance......I would suggest you read what people are saying before jumping in.

should have disposed of the first time.....how many y/birds do yo have off them...?

dispose of a pigeon for doing something wrong... Like i said from the 1st post, a bird always needs another chance to redeem it's self and in most cases they do. It's the odd time a pigeon just wants outing. a good bird can only work its way home in some cases eg, If it flew 200 miles over it could work it's way home, But if its dead or locked in someones loft it hasn't got a cat in hells chance of getting home anytime soon.

  7. you mentioned a friends bird flew very well as a y/bird...topped the fed twice as a yearling topped the fed as a two year old....then it failed to return the next week the real truth is you do not know what happened to this bird. the rest is hypothetical what if it went into another fancier.....what if it escaped then returned home what if...what if...?

reason i commented was above comments mentioned if a bird failed to get rid of it and don't breed out of them. my 'a good do doesn't get lost' was obviously sarcasm. loads of good birds get lost each year, and if you loose any bird, It deserves another chance.

  8. YOU HAVE JUST AGREED WITH ALL I HAVE BEEN SAYING YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BIRD,WHAT YOUR SAYING IS ALL HYPOTHETICAL WHAT IF...WHAT IF........BIRDS THAT HAVE LET YOU DOWN WILL DO IT AGAIN WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH,BY THAT TIME YOU HAVE A LOFT FULL OF THEM......OR Y/B BRED FROM THEM....

how is that agreeing with you? A good bird can make a mistake as much as a bad one. just because a pigeon get's lost it doesn't make it a bad bird. If you really are that stupid to think that all birds lost are bad birds then i really pitty you.

  9. I have had pigeons a while, which doesn't make one bit of difference.

A good bird doesn't always work home - a mate of mine lost a old bird who flew amazing as a yb, Yearling topping the fed a few times, As a two year old he sent it it came topped the fed, The week after he sent it, Nowhere to be seen or heard of.

That pigeon could be in someones loft as we speak, One day it could get out and return home... What do you do? get rid after all, It let the owner down. Ofc you don't get rid of it, You give it a chance, As you should with all pigeons, If they let you down again and again thats when you look at getting rid
