    You Carnt make a comparison sat to wed—birdage ?

    But if you try——high spen midweek club basketed on wed any age race 8 old and 8 young birds —five members sent young birds more sent old birds only ,basketed at 8am wed morning ,left in club till dinner time when they were picked up by transport —merc sprinter van ,—-liberated at 3.30pm from 67 miles,one member flying really well clocked 6 old birds then next bird was young bird.

    I got all eight youngbirds in 9mins—100 percent

    Never have bad losses on midweek —should touch wood .

    Nothing wrong with same day basketing—imo

     

    Sorry Ovy why can't I make a comparison! The birdage on a Wednesday in the whole convoy is averaging 1000 pigeons where I race and the Saturday convoy average 1500?

    It's what we do in the midweek club very few get 100% returns on the day by doing this, it's what I've found anyhow but racing with basket Friday for Saturday race always good returns. Don't think enough time to rest and get a drink imo

    If they have never bred anything tbh I remove the whole line from the loft, nothing gets bred from unless it's done the job required, if it's a stock bird it's got to breed winners or birds to score, if it hasn't I wouldn't try anything from its children but that's just me.

    Tony I be honest I'd be more worried about the old cock not taking kindly to the young birds in the section then the vaccination side of things! The vaccination can wait but scolded ybs can't!! It be different if he was on similar sized yb and they was placed on floor with them

    Conversed with Begica to-day and am satisfied with the explanation given that the admin problem has been concluded and will personally continue the long association I have had with them in the future regarding testing and products given, including free advice from qualified Vets.

    I’ll be honest I do not judge it they get the same feed every single week. Put it on another perspective is that the way I feed or fed is similar to an athlete on a no carb diet. What happens is and those that will have tried it will know is that for about two days u feel rubbish as the body is craving carbs. However once the body knows no carbs or little carbs will only be supplied the body realises fats will be its only energy source.
