thanks, all the offenders are on eggs typical!!!
was thinkning of taking all perches down moving all hens that havnt a box or layed into spare loft(which i didnt have before) and letting cocks fight it out until they have a nestbox for them selves?
thanks i was told to take some of the perches down in there so they have to have a nest box to land on but this seems to be causing more fighting with a few of the younger cocks being pushed around
am new to pigeon racing and my firt time paring up. have paired my stock birds up now for about a month, most have paired up but have not taken a nest box. the few that have taken one seem to have taken over 2 or 3 spare nest boxes as well leaving the others with no where to nest. i have tried locking the other nest boxes up for a few days but as soon as there open i am back to square one.
any ideas ?
Just about to buy some nestboxes ready for pairing my stock birds in dec. i am a new starter and found some for sale on various web sites the cheapest is £69 for a set of 4. does anyone know where i can get them any cheaper? or is this a good price?
thanks
Great looking birds blaz, thanks again for the 3 u gifted me. still got 2 of them the check cock (the one u gave me extra, a great looking pigeon turning into a big pigeon) and the blue hen. will also sort some pics out
A new starter here didnt manage to get any of my young birds in any race as i started late. i am going to start to race them as old pigeons. do you think i am best to keep training them all through the winter or hang on to them and start next year. does anyone find they dont race to good as old pigons if they havnt been raced as young.?
thanks
