Jonboy,
just put a handfull of peas or beans in a cup, teaspoon of sugar pinch of salt, some warm water let them soak for 5-10 minutes, thenbump about 30 down each birds beak(you could bump 50-60 in them easy, but it could make them lazy),takes about 1 minute, then just spoon ,4-5 teaspoons water down after, simple as that,by 17 days old stop hand feeding, just put them in a place on their own with a drinker filled to the brim, and dip their beaks once or twice, then feed out just peas or beans in a trough, leave 20 minutes morning and night, then take away, some thick babies starve themselves for a couple of days, but will gorge in the end,but remember to dip their beaks,do not leave any food about after 20 minutes, they will follow you around like puppies come feeding time if you follow that simple rule.
And for christ`s sake do not worry about them not eating, leave them be,and remember grit .
And while your at it,watch to find the leaders, not followers, you watch your babies,9out of 10 are crap,no matter what anyone tells you,see what you learn, write down first to find drinker 1st to feed, first to try for a perch,1st to go outside, write everything you see down, hen you will have made a good start, for sure.
