yes the streeters are sometimes large, but 2 day its a mix,regarding size, there is big and small in all breeds getting i think, but for sure going back I can never remember not being able to tell a cock from a hen, like now in some breeds,

I would say going back to the time you are on about,birds were much bigger and had heavy whattles,also you could easily tell a cock from a hen,

Richard the past Webmaster put lots of work and time into building this site to be one of the best on the go, but unfortunately because of too much interferance to his private life and changes in the same he felt it was no longer worth it trying to keep it going,for the pleasure of the pigeon fanciers, as there was no longer any pleasure in trying to run it, it was run for a while by Vallance and myself as Administrators along with the moderators who have worked hard to keep it going, but with the owner of the site taking a back seat does not leave the site working as it should,and in the end made the decision to get away from all the problems he had decided it was time to go, Vallance and Myself didnt want to see this site being closed, as there are a lot of good members on it and it is a good site, we have not taken this over for profit or gain but to keep it going forward and running well, and we do our best with the help of the moderators who have been doing the job for a while under the past owner,we took the site over as such and intend to take it forward, with the cooperation from the members who want to see the same, there is far to much unrest and arguing on threads, which the majority of members dont like, if anyone has any complaint, make it to admin who will make a decision on it,by pm, not on the open forum, as they usually finnish in having to be removed by mods,who then from some get hassle, mods only move posts etc to the TOPICS TO CHECK board, the decision then is made by admin as to what happens to it, coming onto the subject of Jimmy White being off the Mods, this was a request by me after speaking to him, it was done so we could get a bit time to sort out a problem we had with members insisting we remove him and another mod from the site, or it was going to be brought to the attention of fanciers what this site and admin were permiting, (or words to that effect) on a site members are under username, some you know others you dont, so on a site members are dealt with by the way they behave on the site, hopefully Vallance and Myself as intended with the work from the mods take the site forward and aso be allowed to enjoy the site instead of coming on and seeing problems and hassle, we all have and entitled to our thoughts, but for the site to run so we can all enjoy it some have to be kept off it no matter what they are, so we do not want to hear anymore on site regarding Jimmy Whites or any other members past. hoping for your cooperation, Jimmy is to be reinstated with immediate effect on the wishes of site members and this is a final decision. yes anthracite was very hard and gave off a lot of heat, used to be good for heating the water, but the black shiny stuff, good god the mind is going,

its good at dysart, the nice small coal mixed with nice shell grit, just lightly scrape it up, you do get it sometimes at leven, when the tide is going back, also lots of racing pigeon down at it, see them often at leven, make sure you dont get too big pieces of shell get the nice small stuff,
