We have just had a dodgy weekend weather wise and many chose not to send but how did those who sent fare?? I sent 30 and got 27 and from 300b in the club we counted there were 35 away at clock time. I tend to prefer weather like this as those that make mistakes can drink and stay alert, its those roasting hot days and clear blue skys that i hate. What do you all think
-
Birds let up at 8.15 am from Isle of Wight and had 4 together, now have 22 from 30 but some people have very few back. Stuart

Handle them right and you might be suprised, they should pull out it esp if the weather isnt to hot!!!! Stuart

Can anyone help me i have got a pigeon in Winchester at a none fanciers and they cant catch it. Stuart
-
I didnt have any other old birds bruno just a big open loft!!!!!!!
-
I used to have a partner who would make pigeons wait 30 minutes before they could have a drink, it used to drive me wild.
-
I have treid forcing water on a friday but it upset them a little!
-
for once tammy your right there was 20 winners last weekend!!!!!! Stuart

The greatest ability in pigeon racing lies with the pigeon its called "homing ability" the secound lies with the fancier and is called "Judgement" I have met many a great fancier and the very greats Fear Brothers and the like were thinkers, intelligent men who looked inside a pigeons head and understand them!! Without knowledge and hard work nothing but disapointment will be seen "" Yoda in Star Wars 1984" Even though i sell a pigeon or two you will never here me say its all about good pigeons, no the fancier has to play his part!!!!
-
Can i just add that 99% of the pigeon that i sell are bred or owned by Raymond Moleveld of Hilversum and i would like to say that due to his skill and breeding i can offer such top pigeons!!! My job is easy when the quality is high. One other thing, Raymond isnt just a stud, in racing the last few seasons he has won; 1st Nat St Vincent 37,023b 1st Nat Brive 7500b 1st Afd St Quentin 11,236b etc Surely the only way to mould a realiable family is with the Basket which was my first and only point!!!!

Good point there xtcock about numbers of winners!! I havnt sold that many since i started in 2005-2006 but have bred/supplied pigeons to win in 2007 for Richard Grayson Gary Inckley Jon De Ville Nigel Templer Dave Young - Radstock A K Heal - Radstock Harding Brothers White and Tarmass K Hicks D Flowers - South Wales A Croker - SE Herbert - Bristol Howe South Wales Tregonning South Wales Bollock C Simmons SE Mr Stone 2 x 1st last two week in there first season bred from the nestmate to the cock that was auctioned for pb last year. Charlie Simons Mark Evans - Auctioneer Rixs Shrewsbury and Sapper, Greengrass, Dries and a few others from pb!!! and most import Stuart Wilcox 5 races Race 1 1st 2nd 3rd Club Race 2 4th 5th Club Race 3 6th Club Race 4 1st 2nd 3rd 6th Club race 5 2nd 6th 7th Club in the strong Towers Club and 13 WOESR Combine cards in the top 50 against 4500-5000b, not the best record im sure but im happy and enjoying myself. This is what has been reported this year only!!! From say 400 birds sold sold, i have noticed that many who buy pigeons dont ever bother to race them which makes it harder. Kind Regards Stuart Wilcox P.S. its always nicer speaking to a name and not an alias, I wonder who you are??

The buyer of No 1 was very pleased, N02 is still available!!! Stuart

Hi Tony What about channel sprinting 250-400, i found my lightly raced 2 year olds would bomb out of Nantes esp on hard days, those that new the ropes would get home in there own time?? stu

Very good pigeon men!!!!
-
xtccock Maybe wise words maybe not! But sure as eggs are eggs pigeons that are bred from none performance and non flown pigeons will end up with a reduced homing ability. Many novices get cuaght by the 99 per 6 dream but most get TROUBLE IN A BOX!!!!!! There death rate is very very high!!! Stuart
-
Myself i started the season with 26 pairs of stock and nothing else, i had this number to breed a good number of young birds and that they have. But reality tells me that now i have racers to tend to as well so many breeders are a burden and must be cut to 12 or 16 pair at most!!! The birds have done nothing wrong and were good enough to be selected in the first place and now been sold at the price or less than was payed!!!! The pigeons i kept were the ones Raymond has leant me as those couldnt be sold anyway!!! Im now down to 18 pair!!! Overcrowding is a poisen!!!!! Stuart
