    jm couriers

Come on lads give these couriers a break, i'm sure they are doing their best out there for you. One Courier i have spoken to is up at 5am every morning and is not home until 10pm most evenings. They are not Amtrak, they don't have a van in every town so they are doing a hell of a lot of miles to get your birds to you. Has anyone ever stopped to think how much their diesel bill is every week. There's also wages to pay not to mention the wear and tear on their vehicles. I do not be-grudge them one penny of the £35 they charge, they also have the same bills as we have to pay, Mortgages, electricity, gas etc etc etc. JM Couriers do a fantastic job but they also have other animals and reptiles that they deliver so that is why they can keep the prices low. I used UK Pigeon Couriers last week and the boxes were not only provided but the shavings were also in the box ready to put the birds in. I also spent a while chatting to Dave the owner of UK Pigeon Couriers, he's a great guy who is also a fancier himself with a vast knowledge of the sport. There are couriers out there who are charging slightly cheaper rates but some don't have any idea of pigeons and the impotance of making sure they in the same condition when they were dropped off as when they were picked up. Pigeon Traker you sit there once again knocking these guys about their prices, i'm sorry that you have problems at home and are unable to provide the service you promised but it's wrong to knock other couriers and have your little digs whenever a topic of couriers arises. The choice of couriers are there, if you don't want to use a courier because you feel their prices are too steep then don't use them, it's simple. I for one will continue to use a courier whom i know i can trust with my birds and not go for the chepest option and maybe not see my birds for days. ( This is not a dig at JM Couriers) but there are the horror stories out there about birds not being picked up, or not being delivered for 3 or 4 day. I wish all the GOOD couriers the best of luck and i just hope they don't read some of the comments made on here by some members or it will come to the stage when they think "is it all worth it" and then where will the fancier be when there's no couriers out there.
