thank you for all replying to my post. To rose and the other who have your lofts facing north are your loft closed in? My loft face north and 60% of the loft is open to the weather front and back, no rain can get in. but they is no sun shining into my loft. I live next to a river and the humidity & temerature is up & down. I,m think of closing my loft and changing my roof to clear plastic so i can get the sun shine in. Just trying to get some ideas.

does it matter any more in which way your loft faces nowadays because most lofts are closed up and if your loft faces north do you have good results

hi i,m think of using malt barley extract in my drinking water 2 times a week do you think it would benefit my birds. i know it not as good as the real thing but it is cheaper and on the side of the jar it said containing a complex mixture of carbohydrate,minerals & protein together with trace elements and vitamins. what do you think about it (good or bad thing) thanks

hi, thank you all for replying but to stuart could you find out what the birds flu like the one that had a standing tongue ?.thanks still would like to know from some fanciers if they best birds have a standing tongue. and when i open a pigeon mouth i do it with care. ive been racing pigeons for 24 years it just something i read in a book and i would like to learn a bit more about it.
