I,ve used the darkness system for a few years now, I have never heard of the 10weeks senario, I take mine off the darkness in June

Spoken to the lads from Methilhaven and St Andrews 2nite, who do the ETS for thier clubs, and they say, they are not doing this update, till it,s more clearer, or after the old birds and b4 the young birds starts.
