  1. Real issues with marking the birds for the national in England.

    Hopefully the SNFC take note.

    Update 26th May 2023 12:30pm

We have experienced three major incidents that have caused a delay to the planned schedule for the race from Carentan.

The first was an administration error on our part which was resolved relatively easily.

The second was a marking station not following the correct procedure by starting marking member’s pigeons without the registered vet being present which in turn caused over a 4 hour delay to the onward journey by the transporter.

The third problem arose at the final inspection of the consignment by the senior veterinary official. One marking station had failed to follow the correct procedure of the instructions issued to them and their paperwork was not acceptable to the veterinary official and he issued instructions that the whole consignment from that marking station had to be removed from the transporter before he would be able to sign off the remaining documentation for him to forward to the necessary officials.   These instructions have now been followed.

The transporter has now been rescheduled for a later sailing today arriving in France on Saturday morning.   The decision has been made to liberate on Sunday 28th.

At present the pigeons have been held in a secure compound overnight and fed and watered and will shortly be making their way to the ferry port for this evenings crossing.

A further update will follow this evening or early Saturday 27th.

  6. the scottish west coast unions rules

You need to add that new organisation to your list on your bio Tommy. I think Scottish fanciers can thank you and the Lanarkshire fed officials for pushing the SHU into action eventually.

  7. Tommy if you get back from Dunbar quick enough on Sunday you can join the thousands of protesters at Glasgow Green. The Scottish government says they cant stop you joining thousands in the park but think you training members pigeons is more dangerous. The Jockdown is over BLM... Big Lanarkshire Matters.

  8. ITS THE STUPID TEXT WE GET DONT DO THIS DONT GO FURTHER THAN 5MILES THEN ITS TELLING YOU CAN TRAIN FROM DUMBAR WITH THE FED THATS LANARKSHIRE IM TALKING ABOUT OUR HEADS ARE LL BUCKED UP

Jamie get down the club with your doos early fill the baskets with your cocks and hens leave drinkers on them in the club house. That will get you a couple of tosses.

  9. 100%

I’d say it’s actually unlawful for SHU to try stop you

As it’s not set law to say you can’t travel

It would be different if you had hundreds of guys going to meet up but it's a handful at each club and they should all give 6ft 6in social distance space and wash hands wear a mask everyone knows the drill by now. Guys who dont want to race should go to the club early and fill baskets with there own birds and leave drinkers on them.

  10. It should be remembered that it is only short distances that we are allowed to travel. It does not allow federations to go to racepoints under the pretence of only training.

End of story ,short distances and keep away from race point ,s and ensure you have permission to train them at whatever spot is picked .😷ðŸ‘

Andy you do know that it's the pigeons going to Dunbar and not individual members?? So going by the rules of Nicoliar. Members are staying within the rules of social distancing and the 5 mile is guidance but not law.
