  8. i would think most ybs hit the roofs at some time while they are learning to fly and first time out,but as mentioned its up to you to get them under your control,i use a old hen that does not hit the house roof, also they are keep abit hungry if they do go on the house i whistle them and hopefully they come down.its once they are flying bunched up that you what them to hit the loft thats why you have the fantail? as a drop bird. also once they finish flying call them straight in so they get use to trapping quick.the method we use is let out,fly,down and straight in no picking about. other members have different methods get one that suits you. all the best for the coming season m8 paul

  11. Would just like to say thank you to STEVENS & McCAULEY from Newcastle for sending down 3 youngbirds and 6eggs from there top birds,this all after my brothers m8 move back to Newcastle and arranged for this to happen,well chuffed,And they were brought down for me as well.TOP BLOKES

  17. feel for you m8,had a sparrowhawk hit a youngster and scatter the rest, had 1 reported 20 miles away still 2 missing i was there when it hit so the yb got way,so did the hawk with a little breakfast in its belly

  21. we had ahit today on the youngbirds,let them out walked up the garden they went everywhere,i turn around hawk had 1 pinned on the ground lucky i was there yb got away,but 3 missing out of 20.
