the reason for double rubbers in lon races was a back up put int a second clock in the event of a problem with your first clock stopping etc. many set two clocks for natinal racing for that very reason

if an escape takes place some organisations insist on the birds being rerubbered this requires the birds id rings being recorded and the new rubber recorded against that bird . the rule applying to ets birds as per SHU AS follows quote in the event of an escape, where required, ETS birds must have their official Union ID Ring Number recorded unquote the same procedure would be accepted for non ETS after all that is the guarantee that these are the birds competing in that particular race and that is the important requirement. in an escape a method should be adopted by the the organisers to ensure that escapees could not qualify for positions in that particular race.

i dont know about alex but you will likely beat me each week i treat y/bird racing as a learning process for y/birds and dont worry as long as they fly steady and keep healthy
