Thanks for advice mate i have reared young before but was only 14 years old at the time i kept and raced pigeons for about two years with my grandad but what basic knowledge i learnt then most of it i have forgot lol but i still have a rough idea. Can i ask what the difference is in a novice rearing young in winter compared to spring ? Apart from obvioulsy the weather.

Will there be young 2017 racing pigeons for sale at blackpool show 2017 ?

Hi im just after some advice please.... im just starting up in racing pigeons, im about to order a two section loft from ecco lofts ready to put a team of young birds in for next yound bird season. I have been doing a bit of reading and like the sound of the middle but mainly long distance races. From what i have read online i like the sound of the jan aarden and the gaby vandenabeele pigeons. Im thinking of putting deposits on teams of kits from different places ready for new year. Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of the best stud lofts to buy from ?

Had to make myself a member of the RPRA then apply to council they just sent me a letter saying my application has been approved aslong as i send them details of my RPRA membership and i get a proffesionl loft building company to erect the loft. Im thinking ecco lofts at the moment ? so should hopefully be up and running for next young bird season.

Fenton on three mile from me mate just had letter off council approving my appliction to put a loft up in back yard so should be up and running for young bird season next year.

Hi looking to start up racing pigeons ready for 2017 season. At the moment im looking to get permisson for a 18×6ft loft from my local council in staffordshire. ive been told by the council to make myself a member of a association which im in the process of doing and then council will come out to measure up and look at membership forms. Just wondering if anyone else has been through the same thing in staffordshire with the council and how did it turn out ? Cheers J
