I was thinking along those lines , some larger some smaller. Is the ideal 4 sections ? otherwise how can you separate the birds if only two etc young birds , also I quite like late breds as you can get good bargains but I remember from years ago to keep them separate and treat as YB a older guy told me. I do have a ideal spot but it has more depth than width which may be a problem ? Parker

I did warn you all I would have lots of questions lol I was thinking for the new loft 4 compartments would be the ideal ? , all feed etc could easily be kept in my internal garage that is totally rodent proof and always bone dry, also thought any feed could be stored in metal dustbins with lids for easy access. Finally, my question the smallest a compartment could be and largest in length not forgetting depth. Parker

Hi Guys I keep reading Sprint, Sprint/Middle, Long Distance, but what are the distance's plus if I was thinking of buying any I would buy "horses for courses" as I have also read about "All Purpose" which I would be doubtful about one strain covering all. I live about 30 miles from Cardiff, whats the popular distance to go for to race ? Parker

Hi Guys, New to the Forum I hope you dont mind that I dont have any pigeons at the moment but used to keep them years ago but more like pets with my older brother and mam was happy to keep us off the streets, we were envious of the guys that raced which where I lived at the time and thinking back was over 6 lofts that I knew of 10 mins from the house.. Breeds I remember were Delbar hermans Rapido I also remember my mates bro had racing pigeons and all very dark black looking ? and all of us told to keep way from them lol, but when he was out I used to go and have a good nose from the outside. Would like to set myself up but need to check on Council & neighbours I own the house which makes it easier but ... I know what they will say .... , but the one loft racing looks fun. I will be asking lots of questions so I hope I dont drive you all crazy Parker
