theres a cracking stock loft in this weeks bhw, 12x6 with 12 breeding boxes and attached aviary for £500 in huddersfield. if i had the space and money i would of had it myself.

If funds are tight build your own and you can continue to add on to it as your hobby progresses

Not an option as I don't have the time, skill or tools ! I am happy to buy a decent loft but dont want to buy something that is not suitable. I have a budget between £1000 - £2000 max !

I am looking to start pigeon racing and would appreciate some advice regarding lofts.

I have access to a plot on our local allotment which will hold a 16 x 8 Loft (max) or alternatively I can set up a smaller loft on an adjacent plot for breeding.

Would it be better to buy one loft, sub-divided into 3 divisions (stock, young, racers) or start with a breeding loft (I will only start with 2 pairs of birds).

If opting for the smaller breeding loft to begin with, what size should I get ? I only plan to keep a small number of birds.

Cost is a factor especially initial outlay so any recommendations regarding suppliers would be helpful.
