I am looking to start pigeon racing and would appreciate some advice regarding lofts. I have access to a plot on our local allotment which will hold a 16 x 8 Loft (max) or alternatively I can set up a smaller loft on an adjacent plot for breeding. Would it be better to buy one loft, sub-divided into 3 divisions (stock, young, racers) or start with a breeding loft (I will only start with 2 pairs of birds). If opting for the smaller breeding loft to begin with, what size should I get ? I only plan to keep a small number of birds. Cost is a factor especially initial outlay so any recommendations regarding suppliers would be helpful.
