1 pair will soon turn in to 2 pair i would build it big enough for a couple of pair just incase. You might even end up converting your shed in the end lol you can wear a mask in your loft mate as most of us do.
-
for enjoyment i would have a large landing area for racing as small as possible
-
old birds dont need alot of training mine will get a few tosses before the first race

Action scrapped, 1200 signatures is just nowhere near enough, so am going to leave it to the unions.
Thanks to all who supported it, but maybe it was not the sort of action the fanciers were looking.
Even so it was a brave effort.
1200 signatures how many of them are online signatures? did you go out chapping doors? you are letting 1200 people down who signed the petition what happened to all the plans you had on your site?

well said gary, the rpra have decided eventually to make the right noises, maybe its because they have finally realised the members are losing patience with them and seeing them for what they are...........lets see what updates they give us and what they achieve over the next few months, personally i think it will be very little,
the members of this site have done the fancy proud, but im afraid in my opinion the admin could have backed the petition more, it was said that some couldnt find the link to the petition, and suggestions to create a banner/link which was easily found were ignored.......dont get me wrong, this is a great site, but admin on other small sites with 500 members tried more. JMO
This site has give some support to the cause some support is better than none so i think to attack this site because another sites doing more is out of order guys its a great way to lose support jmo.

well done hope every one sends pictures and great ideas on the news page

i dont think dogs fighting is due to inbreeding the owners are to blame that aggresion train there dogs to fight and killing livestock is not due to inbreeding either dogs are natural hunters and again its down to the owners not schooling these dogs around live stock
-
i cant read the story in english but from comments on here its clear whats went on there is alot of feather merchants cashing in exactly the same way the birds you buy of mr big with the fancy pedigree does not mean your getting birds out of the birds on the pedigree you think you are but you may be paying big money for a sheet of paper and sub standard birds thats why dna testing should be done

True m8 we do sometimes inbreed the birds but the closest iv inbred my birds is grandaughter to grandfather i wouldnt dream of putting father to daughter but im sure alot have
-
What breed are the birds
-
it could be articulated salmonella they get problems with there legs and wings but it could be just a knock i would keep an eye on it and seperate it salmonella can cause swelling in the joints aswell so its hard to tell if its a knock
-
is it the same maker and is the other tape double sided that could be the difference

-
Do your birds have access to grit minerals and calcium and how old are the birds that are rearing the young
-

What breed will you be buying from louella

most fanciers tend to push there best pigeons that wee bit too far but once there lost there is no point worrying about them the ones that made it home should be the ones getting all your thoughts and attention and the fact they made it home and your best or what you thought your best was never its not worth worrying about you soon find another one that becomes your best.
-
in time the pigeons might get used to it but most likely so will the bop i agree a useless piece of kit to rip off the pigeon fancier yet again

I am having terrible cat problems this is a new cat on the block that has had 1 of my birds already and visits my loft 3 or 4 times a day i have dogs but it dosent seemed bothered by them it just sits on the loft roof looking at the dogs going off there heads so far i have managed to hit the cat with a couple of tennis balls and a hair brush but it still returns so i have decided to make a cat box to trap the cat but i would like to know is it legal to have a cat/fox box set up in your garden where a couple of neighbours may see it
