any positive news towards pigeons and pigeon fanciers is fantastic. the lads done well bringing is work to the publics attention .

in my opinion the simple facts are we do nothing to introduce children adults into this sport ,what encouragment do fanciers clubs regional officers down to the general manger of the rpra do to bring in new members ,.one of the biggest threats to our survival is so called pigeon fanciers . who constantly do anything to stop people joining clubs ,if there good fanciers ,or live on the wrong side of clubs that give them a advantage .they have no chance of joining clubs ,keeping them out ,with no club to compete ,i know personaly fanciers who have become sick too the back teeth of back room lawyers ,sat in meeting with rule books ,destryoing clubs and killing membership of clubs to there demise . ive seen many successfull fanciers leave this sport through ,these disgruntled fanciers who think there experts ,or the club membership owes them something for them been members.whats the future of the sport committee doing to introduce children adults to become fanciers ,answers on a postcard please. when i was a kid sat in a meeting ,no one argued about anything the president was the most respected fancier in the club ,i cannot ever remember a fancier not been welcomed into the club ,never remember a argument over this or that ,it was dreams of wanting to test there birds capabillities of flying longer distances with success ,it was there escape from working down the pits all week ,real fanciers who would shake the winners hand ,the fancier would walk down the pit chest out and big smile for his hero that made his week ,but then these old men where hard men and wouldnt put up with fools like in some clubs today ,they didnt keep big fancy lofts hundreds of pigeons ,there birds had to earn the right to be kept fed ,they didnt have stock lofts full of fancy pedigree birds .they wouldnt sell pigeons to new fanciers ,they would go out there way to help fanciers ,but most of all these fanciers had respect for there fellow fanciers ,sadly those days are gone .

know how you feel ,im waiting for the propersistions to arrive ,im told the best two propersistions so far are 1 ,turn the club around and fly a different route (by none flying member) 2.keep membership closed we dont need anymore members i cannot wait too see the rest of the great propersistions to take us forward for another year . bloody hell another kitchen meeting taking place ,how does he know what has been proposed

what kills me is you fight to get things passed in the club ,and the telephone brigade starts then special meetings are called ,and they wheel in club members who do not attend club meetings ,do not send too races ,do not do anything for the club.yet they reverse discisions that where demorcraticly voted on by flying members ,all on this so called expert fanciers say so,then all these kitchen members are happy ,dont ask them too help out though in the club ,they all got some disability that stops them basketing setting clocks waiting to load the transporter ,dont want to raise any monies for club or federation ,yet they would kill you too get to the bar for a pint and the arthritis pain only dissappears when clocking pigeons.ask too raise the birdage costs and you would think you where trying too confiscate there pensions or giros .

pmsl are you a member of my club brilliant. after years of banging my head trying too take the club forward ,ive now come too the conclusion of keeping away from these people .if your not in the clique in the over 65s club you havant got a chance of taking the club forward .we are due our agm soon and i have been informed that the agm is already decided in one of these kitchen meetings .im tired of hearing its only a hobby too me and i just want to fly my pigeons ,im sure its propersistions like accept new members radical changes like open the radius put the birdage costs up ,lets have pooling nominations raffles for the club etc that keeps these sad people going through the winter running too close there curtains everytime a telephone rings or a walk too the nearst kitchen meeting and they call themselfs fanciers sportsmen , no more meetings for me ,

Personally i dont know kev winters ,but i know alot of fanciers who speak highly of mr winters ,my point been the problems mr winter has had with defra and still having with them ,i dont think its right to be nameing him on a open forum as your friend when your useing the name whitenight ,how do we know your not a defra agent or one of the agencies mr winters having problems with and sniffing about .also to be placing his home telephone number on a open forum unless mr winters has given you permission to do so .which i think unlikely . Personally i dont think you are helping mr winter by advertising his services on a open forum ,espeacily with the problems hes having with defra.

im sure many people are aware of the problems mr winter has had with defra and other agencies ,do you think its right to be putting his name up here stateing hes doing this or doing that .plus plugging his home telephone number ,for defra and other agencies who watch these boards closely for sellers of banned items . kev winters is to my knowledge not a vet, should fanciers be advertising the fact he his doing sampling of pigeon fecaes for fanciers which im sure will again bring problems for kev winters ,by the said people again knocking on his door ,at some unreasonable time of the morning .

ive said it before these one loft races should be stopped ,they do nothing to promote this hobby of ours ,thousands and thousands of poor pigeons sent to the slaughter without a care in the world. i suggest all monies not claimed be used to return any poor lost pigeons reported instead of saying its the owners responsibilty to reclaim them ,bloody disasters bloody disgrace
