A farm worker in England has tested positive for bird flu after catching the virus from an infected flock.
The person in the West Midlands case is understood to have symptoms, but is said to be well and being monitored at a specialist infectious disease hospital ward.
The farm worker is the seventh person to test positive for bird flu in the UK since 2021 and only the second symptomatic infection. All people caught the virus from being in close contact with birds.
