I have started from scratch this year by clearing all clocks. I have also re installed the software so basically I was starting with a blank canvas but after assigning rings to a few clocks successfully it started to go haywire again. I will be trying a different way of doing things tonight thanks to REG on this site, hopefully this will do the trick.
I am having serious problems when assigning our members rings. The first five or six clocks were fine. After that I have had real problems when synchronising the clocks. Tonight I assigned 88 rings to one member and when I tried to synchronise them it deleted all his ets rings. I then re-assigned them and it then deleted all his birds from the clock and the software. The next member had 130 rings to assign when I synchronised his clock it deleted 98 0f his ets rings. So that is over four hours of work for nothing. I spoke to Unikon about this a week or two back and was told they could not give me technical support as we were using eastcoast software. I spoke to Bill Pearson at ECS and sent him our data on a zip file for him to comb through and he assured us that everyting was as it should be with the software. So now we are two weeks from the start of the season and basically we have nowhere to turn to. I used to cringe when people were derogatory about the introduction of ETS but now think they had ESP..
Sparrowhawk hen killed a yearling cock this evening right in front of the loft. I just nipped into the loft for two minutes and this was when she struck, almost like she had been watching.
The hen sparrowhawk killed a yearling cock in front of the loft this evening. My first casualty so far this year. I wonder what the final tally will be.. I wonder if it will return tomorrow to claim its victim
Had a phone call from someone local to me asking if I could put him in touch with anyone who keeps Old German Croppers. His friends wife wants to buy some for a surprise birthday present for her husband. Any info appreciated cheers Stuart Maskame
