  1. You know, when I built my loft - Bricks and tiled - I had some wield looks regards what I put under the concrete.

I did a flat concrete, then put polycarbonate on to. Covered with glass. The concrete. Then the same with glass and polycarbonate and another layer of concrete.

A fellow old timer, in the building trade as much as said I was stupid. I said warmth and no rats or mice will get under the loft and through into the loft. I also dug a trench all the way around the loft and buildings about 2 foot deep and a foot or more wide. Filled it with broken glass.

The same mate last year - indeed for two years had rats getting through via coming under his concrete flooring. Caused havoc and great losses besides the much stress! I know he wishes he'd done the same. Never had frozen water in loft since either. Yes had frozen bowls and taps outside.

Good info that as rats in loft can be devastating and good idea for new builds where did u get all the broken glass

  2. Brenda said tonight the Sevco game took too much out of them? why would he risk players against a team theyde never played before? 3 days before champs league? and why gloat over a result of a 4 year old team? who filled dolehead to the rafters on sat? :001:

Simples we knew we had no chance of beating barca and beating sevco was all that really mattered to all Celtic fans that and pocketing 25 million in the process You must be a first actually admitting youre true age of club new Rangers old rangers canny beat thumping them yes I know you thumped us in semi 2:2 was it or 5.1 ??? What result is best ??

  3. I don't think there is a single book concerning pigeon racing which can be singled out as full of answers. I would have an opinion that, say out of a book with 200 pages, 2 or 3 may have the info I can take on board. Many writers equals many titles ! Some of them are factual and the contents can't really be argued with.

The 2 volumes of Feed to Win are an example. Stacks of facts, but ultimately it's down to the fancier to use at their discretion.

Anyone having an interest in pedigrees and historical blood lines of Belgian racing pigeons should have the Jules Gallez books.

And so it goes. Many books, many ideas , many theories !

    Favourites of mine :

    Advanced Techniques....Jan Aerts

    The Four Seasons

    Pigeon Lore

Cheers Paul will have a look for them thanks again
