you will struggle to find the old style with the removable inserts, not sure what shepards do these days but the Body and Ridewood ones are a bit on the big side although you could put your own cloth linning in them, Phil
  2. in all the clubs/societys i've been sec of, we've never refused anybody membership although on occasions there have been members join that i would rather have seen go elsewhere but all have been given a chance. If they have caused agro antwhere before they have joined with a warning to behave or go but never refused. If you can't compete with the winners either raise your game or put up with your performances don't run away and form another inferior club! Phil

  7. There is nothing to say anybodys application has to be accepted unless there is good reason to reject it!
  8. a family of blues?
  9. 2nd pic is silver or dunn grizzle!
  10. the rule change is a step in the right direction but i think it will be ruled out of order due to the ommission of certain parts i.e is the application to be voted on, can an application be refused if the member has previously defaulted etc or do all applications have to be accepted! Any club that has received or is applying for a grant will have provided a club constitution saying that membership will not be refused or they will not get the grant. Phil
  11. asha, i thought pigeonboy was asking about advice and information and not where to buy birds! Why run down this site when you are fairly new to it yourself?
  12. you will get all the information you need on here.
  13. 65p is nothing compared to weekley magazines in the newsagant, some £2+
  14. If Mark needs financial help to resolve this issue would this be a good use of the forum fund? I think the majority of the members are in support of action! Phil
  15. I would keep them in for a while until problem has found another food source! Phil
  16. have they got a carpet or just rotting floorboards?
  17. just nearly choaked on my cuppa reading that reply from RPRA! He clearly is just going to be another yes man with no balls! I would guess that the aution site is probably run by an RPRA member so I would also take this case, not only to trading standards but also the the union as this would come under ungentlemanly conduct. What should happen throughout the UK but probably never will is that south road should lib on saturday and north rd lib on a sunday as this would mean all birds are heading in the same direction and reduce clashing! Phil
  19. You say above that you ralise now you will have to arrange return of any birds and then claim cost from the breeder. What will you do if the breeder refuses to pay the carriage fee etc? I would love to run a one loft race, I wouldn't need to do any breeding, keep any stock birds, feed and clean all winter etc. Then in the spring sudenly have a loft full of lovely squeakers to train and race then get rid of them before winter comes again. If I did i wouldn't want 40% of the sale price, yes something to cover feed etc but that would be all, why, well if they were my own birds i'd be paying for the food, fuel, medication, entry fees etc out of my pocket and fairly sure there would be little or no profit at the end of the season! I would just get great pleasure out of seeing the birds win and perform! Phil
  20. camiel cardon, another of pauls to go!

  24. Slugmonkey, you wouldn't go far wrong in asking lightening on here (Mark & Clare) to test them in the nationals for you. They are in a good position and put up some very good performances last year with yearlings having moved to there new house. They also have a very good setup! Phil
