im not telling you wot to do i'm merely stating that it purifies the water.... read the label... up to you wot ye do
-
if you have the bottle then it will state it on the bottle.... this just purifies the water.... it is recommended by experts for human consumtion! and i would have no hesitation drinking water with milton in it at the recommended dose. it just purifies it, now i'm not saying this is what i practice but i use to 15 year ago n never affected the birds

FRANK , forget the names , and ped's , there are only 2 type's of pigeon good & bad , look for a small team fancier who keep's up with the big boy's , in decent birdage ,( do the old homework ) a fancier in an unfavorable postion, thats the fancier to give seroious thought to , and you have allready increased your chances of something half descent , then its down to management & the basket , avoid someone who fly's by weight of NO's in a small fed . good luck in your endevours
well said ch pied

Thanks for your advice. We get our rings about 5th Jan. I do find it hard to get back for the darkness system. Thanks
natural darkness will suit you best of luck
-
what time are you catching it for ringing
1st jan
-
as long as you pair up b4 the 16th december they'll be fine, they will get about 7 races into the b4 they'll go to bits, we did it last year found it ok but went bk to the darkness this year, paired up in jan instead
but is very good if you can't be there to put them on the darkness

i think butter milk is great for pigeons
i use butter milk and garlic
thought this why you posted the tread coz of the flites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the main objective is to hold onto the flites so we can race them.....
birds look a treat, not ideal for racing in my opinion
-
butter milk has them the way they are now

dr colin walker advises against these type of salts, wouldnt be my cuppa tea, but i am of the understanding that if ye give these salts it flushes the bird out(anything they may have picked up in the basket) then they need to be re-hyrated as soon as possible, not 100% sure this is just my understanding
