hi m8.. i also try this and on my part it is effective... but again base on my experienced... widowhood is only good for short to middle distance race. becuase of too much motivation the cock or hen lost its concentration and condition. that's why it does not perform in at all in long distance race.

me... too.. I let them out like a normal loft fly. and then let them rest the whole time before basketing. I also cover or darkend my loft early afternoon for them to have a good rest:))

hi... val here from Philippines... Base on experienced.. I think you need to see your YBs ranging for almost an hour or more everyday during loft fly. If you noticed that they don't range like it was before. That's your clue to train them? It show's that they already memorized your place.
