Sadly for some it is not that simple. Some are members of one club and some are members of both. Some want nothing to do with SHU and I feel that is their choice. That is the thing that screws it all up. Lets face it the SHU is in a mess what with Mr B and Mr 10%. Thats the facts regardless of your standpoint.

Correct. I could not agree more. It is less likely to happen now that a large % of the thinking fancy are now with SNRPC. The people left behind need to ask themselves what they really want. Sadly I still feel that many are happy with the split as they are now winning tickets that were out of thier reach previously.

You may do. Take your pick. Diccy or Doccy, my French is not good. He was obviously firing the cannon balls for Mr 10%. You could not fail to see it. Thankfully the treason failed on this occassion.

I could not agree more. Those at the meeting yesterday witnessed an attack on Tom Davidson that was obviously set up to try and undermine him personally and also shake his confidence. Full marks to the guy for keeping his cool and seeing them off. Those same people have all but destoyed their own local clubs. There is not another kicking left in the SNFC. I for one would still like to see at least cooperation between SNFC and SNRPC. Perhaps I am niave.

I agree with your comments. The meeting today I believe was a very positive one and one that can be built upon. The muppets lost a lot of ground and common sense seemed to prevail. You are spot on I think regarding some people will be excluded. That is where we stand together and it is everyone or nobody as far as future discussions are concerned. Mr 10% must be smarting.

The sport is in a mess. I am not sure that there is another kicking left in it. It is time to put back and not take out but the folks with commercial interests dont care about the long term as long as there is a swift dollar in it. We all need to live and let live. No more blackmail from legal lobby. Lets just race doos. The ones who shout the loudest and cause the hassle seem the poorest type of fancier to me.

Did Chickadee rescue my lawnmower?
-
That lawnmower means a lot to me. Was at a party and was asked to through in my keys. I won the lawnmower. Havn't seen the wife since!!!
-
Just don't pit the hied on anybody till I get the wheels back safe and sound eh?
-
The man is spot on. When feathered under the wing (normally 27 days) then it is time to move them on if you can. Even if only for a few days they soon learn. If left the hen of the pair is likely to give them short change and only the cock will be interested. Can be a good way to race a natural cock but the second round do tend to lose out
-
No no. Not even the driver just the wheels.Cheers

Now then chickadee if you see them flogging off that mower at Blackpool you bring it back for me .

Thats my bloody lawnmower!!

No not at all. SNRPC will be recorded in history for all the right reasons. The 30K? The people who put that together are the same people who helped put the 130K that the SNFC started out with over the last few years. Sadly that is reducing. It has just come to mind that the SNFC pile is reducing while the SNRPC is rising tho the SNRPC policy is not to hold much more than is there at the moment. I am more interested in the doo than the cash. -

You make a fair point. What we need is to envolve people who's interest in the sport is greater than their own self interest. Through the 60s and 70s we had that. Today I'm not so sure. Some sad people would like the split to continue as they are winning tickets today that were out of their reach 5 years ago. If you look the result half the winners struggled to time in before the split. -

This year the SNFC is finding it hard to convoy the birds to 600miles on its own and has taken a leaf out of SNRPC book and suggesting going to Tours with a third party. It is very possible that both SNFC and SNRPC will be in same convoy. Thankfully the doos don't mind. It really would show how silly things are. And yes that is definately the way forward -

In Ireland membership of either of the organisations is acceptable which seems sensible to me -

Sadly the members don't got to the meetings and the SHU does not encourage them to go as we both know Frank -

I think you hit the nail on the head. The SNRPC is making history and might always be there. I wonder if it can be a club within a club? A bit like LSC within Lanarkshire fed. SNRPC has surprised everyone with its successes. The quality of fancier and of results are outstanding within SNRPC. Sadly the quality elsewhere has fallen. I would love to see the whole lot go together. Perhaps Tours this year could be the start? -

I agree and would go further. People have rights. We see that every day at work. We saw it when the disability act was pulled in regarding ets. I am not sure that what is being done ie forcing membership of one organisation (SHU) as a precursor to join another (SNFC) is legal. That aside is it what we the members want? -

Gentlemen. Tempers are still running high. I was at the meeting and was saddened when I saw the people who walked out. The calibre of the fanciers in question being quite outstanding. No dummy was spat out just honest honourable fanciers taking a stand for something they believed. They had no idea if the option to race from France would ever be theirs again. There is no doubt in the mind of serious fanciers that the SNFC is weaker as a result. The SNRPC seems to me to be cutting edge and putting up some tremendous performances. Now that we all have got the nonsense off our chest I ask again. WHAT CAN WE DO TO BRING UNITY BACK TO THE SPORT IN SCOTLAND. Those who don't share the passion please leave to others. -

Perhaps the question should be can we get back to harmony -
