I would take them off 6 weeks before, give them two weeks to set their "body clock" to the correct time, then you can begin training.

I got six louella Flor Engels in 2007, and three are still in the loft. They havn't won much, but crossed with my own family they have bred some good ones.

I would see which system the other members are on. They are basically all the same, but it makes life easier if all the club have the same. The basic principle is the same, and some have better features than others, but none is perfect. If you could take the best bits from them all, and make a new system then thats the one to buy !

I worm my birds every year, before pairing but I've never seen a thing. I have heard some right horror stories, of loft floors swimming with worms after treating though.

We are at Little Hampton next week. So you could go then.

Usually if a youngster that has been weaned is sitting fluffed up, it hasn't found the water. Dip it's beak in and see if it drinks. -
I've heard of loads of clubs who can't get a time signal with Unikon, One club use a container which is metal and have to go outside now with an extension lead.

If you get the correct ring number, it will be easy to trace the owner. Just be patient and see if you can read it. If it's green, then it is 08 not 80!

Fine wire mesh is the only answer, or dont leave food then they won't bother. I have a problem with sparrows collecting feathers for their nests, not food which I never leave about.
