my birds are in the loft all winter. if we let them out the hawks are at them they are around 4 pairs around my lofts . they can eat the pigeons in the fields be for my birds as there is around 100 still in the farmers field by me.

My dads mate had a cat and it lived with the birds. It sleep in the nest boxes with the birds . He never had any more cats around his loft. Leighton

Has any one bathed there birds on a friday in very hot water in the racing season . some one told me this along time ago . Can some one tell me the pros and cons of this or is this just rubbish :-/. thanks Leighton

I had a pigeon reported in glossop and it had hit a window and died. The house owner said he thought it had broken the window. am sick of the hawks they need to be stopped. pigeon sport will not last if the hawks can breed in the numbers they are. :-/

Hi i have 2 late breds under stock pair. They are herman x van hee. Do they have to have rings on? They are free to a good home, just pay carriage. Can put pics on if you want. www.myspace.com/leightonmilthorpe

HI i do think this is ok if the bird can not enter the race but going as a trainer did he say if this bird was a late bred and he had no more rings to put on them .

They is a lot of lads in my club that have had louella kits . The best to do is get some when they bring in a new family as they do not know what is breeding the goods . They only know when they get reports of winners . ;D

HI i do think they have some very good birds but if you want the best you have to pay big money . They are alot of good birds that have come out of the kits that louella have bred . The best birds are all ways closer to the champions . And alot of its down to the flyer. ;D

some of my young birds are paired up and under eggs this year . I do not like my young birds to get sick the week before first race . I use beach on the sunday after race . this is very cheep and stops the spreed of disease.

My young birds have been on the club transporter and they have come very well. The thing with training i see is that they are not getting feed at the same time every day . and the cost is less . They get fit flying round home 1hr 30mins in morning and night .
