  1. Hi all. I just wanted too sound out opinion on the following. I am a mortgage adviser for my sins and as there are no products to advise on any more i have looked at other options. I will be trying something in addition to my existing business but something that could well have benefits to the sport. For every fancier that changes their energy suppliers and landline telephone 2% of their monthly spend will go back in to pigeon racing, in what format i don't know yet and am open to suggestion be it a race or to provide ets equipment, for charity or a proportion coming back to this website. To put some figures to this if 1000 members converted the above and each spent roughly £100 per month across the 3 utility bills above that would bring in annually £24,000 per annum which is quite a tidy sum of money. The company in question provide the services all on 1 bill and guarantee to be cheaper than the likes of BT, Npower etc. I only want to get some opinions from you guys as to whether you think it is worth pursuing or not. So that everyone is aware and i am not hiding anything i will be paid 3%. Cheers Dazza
  2. I remember have a £10 ante-post double on Oh So Risky which i am pretty sure Paul Holley rode and Morley Street. Both won with Oh So Risky winning at 33/1! Paul Holley was my best mate for a long time after that!!!! Dazza
  3. Virtually covered everything there between you all.
  4. Gladdo i have pm'd you. Cheers dazza
  5. If there are any new starters/novices i have some young birds available free to good home. There are a couple of other threads on here of mine 'fed topper for sale' and '2009 yougsters' where you can see some of the results achieved. Next year we will be racing 18 cocks and 18 hens, to fill all our boxes we have only taken 12 of this years youngsters over to the racing loft. We started this years young bird season with 43 and ended it with 35. We have had some tough decisions to make on which yearlings to keep. The ones that are left are free to anyone prepared to pay the carriage for them. I dont think any of them have scored but then again we can only clock 2 pigeons per race so some of them probably would have, anyway too good to kill and the offer is there. cheers dazza pm me for any details, i will be away with the birds now until late this afternoon.
  6. Replied to your PM mark
  7. Lightning PM me. cheers dazza
  8. fantastic light beat 6500 in mnfc, the others have had some tremendous results against 4/5000 birds in mnfc with no wind advantage and back drop. Not forcing anyone! There will be a max of 24 young birds for sale. cheers dazza
  9. The choice is yours. They can only beat whats in front of them, which they do.
  10. Hi don't think it makes any difference at all, Tours Princess raced 112 miles one week doing a velocity of 1844yds per minute winning club and finishing 3rd fed, the following week she raced from 444 miles finished 14th section 26th open MNFC doing 1200yds per minute. So is she a sprinter, a long distance pigeon or just a very good pigeon? dazza
  11. 11 member club sending avg 150 . Fed generally 1000 avg.
  12. sent you details. dazza
  13. 2009 youngsters available to order. Over 60 1st prize cards in club over last 4 years, racing in 1 club only. 2008 results 16 1sts 16 2nds only clocking max 2 birds per race. many top fed positions including 1st 6 on 1200 yds per minute race not bad for the last drop in the fed and central. 4th section MNFC, 27th Open again one of the back drops in the north east section. The blue hen that was 4th section is the nestmate to the 97 hen who was also 12th section 27th open MNFC. The previous year the same parents produced a hen to win 5 races and get an RPRA award. All the above hens are grandaughters from Fantastic light. PM if interested for more details.
  14. Sorry hepste that is far to simplistic. However using your example on a 40mph race ie. a headwind i would rather be the one flying 100miles anytime.
  15. Whitley Bridge North Yorks
  16. A hen purchased from F Sheader was the mother of Fantastic Light a cock that should of won the MNFC but for a cock up. She is also gr dam to a blue cock that finished 14th MNFC and great gr dam to an a rpra award winner and a hen who has just finished 4th sect 27th open from Tours winning pools and ets system.
  17. Tarzan i agree with you on the whole and i too would try my hardest to improve my performances and i would take no satisfaction from getting a position unjustly. Believe me to see such a great performance go unrecognised is hard to take as on the day the velocities were in the 1200's and i am last drop and central in the fed, but if only clocking 2 keeps the club going i will continue to do so.
  18. Earlier this year i had six pigeons together, obeying the club rules i only clocked 2. They finished 1st & 2nd fed so should have taken 1st six in fed which was annoying, but it is more important to keep the club afloat, even if the result is not a true indication of the real result.
  19. 33 posts and i still don't know whats going on. Can someone please explain the allegation(s).
  20. Post 24. Not wishing to be too critical or be negative i wonder just how fantastic and competitive racing is over there. Can't knock anyone topping a fed of 3500 birds, but his second bird is 2m and 15 secs behind his first and only 6 pigeons in between! On a 1600yd per minute race i would of expected the racing to be closer with all the racing experts flying in that area.
  21. You gotta be kidding - well done the govt! It really has come to a farcical situation when they want to tax this.
  22. just go to you tube there is a collection on there. Quite horrific so don,t look if squeamish. there is one film where one bird is sitting quietly while the hawks rips lumps off the back of its neck
  23. MNFC out of order liberating that late - no consideration for the back markers at all. I clocked at 6.13 flying 282 miles with 3 early next morning. Everyone at our clock station agreed they were up to late. Good pigeon the one you got on the night as i was getting pretty dark by 7.15. I would guess that the Bridlington & Scarborough pigeons fly even further than you so what chance did they have?

    ONE DROP HOLE

I will try again then! When 4 birds are clocked with identical times how does ets distinguish 1st 2nd 3rd & 4th.

    ONE DROP HOLE

A genuine question! When 4 birds get the same velocity how does ETS distinguish 1st 2nd 3rd 4th?
