  12. hi broughcut, the birdseed will be fine and the union should have given the owner your phone no. whereabouts are you?, as there may be a fancier nearby who could take it off your hands
  13. Hi broughcut, thanks for taking the time to bother about our little "athlete's of the sky", the unions keep a record of all the rings issued over the last 10 yr, anyone can contact them to find the owner of a ring, the unions dont like to give out owners details to finders without first contacting the owner because some unscrupulous fancier, on finding out he has one of the top fancier's birds in his possession, would not then follow up the repatriation of the bird and maybe would keep it himself and breed from it. Like your thinking though

  21. Cloudy and overcast here at Selby, very light cool N Wind
  22. you got it right pigeonpete, it seems that with the current price of returning pigeons via amtrak your better off not stamping them it could turn out very expensive if you have a flyaway, the way i look at it is, if they are not stamped then i don't bother reporting because obviously their owners arn't bothered about getting them back, but come racing or training then they should wing stamp them as this is a rule if you fly with the RPRA
  23. A GUY IN OUR CLUB TOLD US ONE TIME THAT HIS BIRD CAME TO WIN BUT LANDED IN THE FIELD IN FRONT OF HIS LOFT, HE CLIMBED THROUGH THE BARBED WIRE FENCE AND SHOOED THE BIRD UP WHICH PROMPTLY FLEW STRAIGHT IN THE SHED, HE THEN WENT TO GET BACK THROUGH THE FENCE TO CLOCK THE BIRD BUT GOT STUCK ON THE BARBED WIRE AND HAD TO SHOUT THIER LASS TO COME AND GET HIM UNTANGLED. PMSL !!!!!
