I put in a wire mesh flooring, and I will never GO BACK! It was a lot of work, but it is well worth it. Originally I thought about using Galvanized wire mesh material, but then I realized that stainless steel will probably be better (Lack of stains, rust). I used some 6 x 6 wire mesh, but I think anything between a 4 x 4 and a 8 x 8 wire mesh in stainless steel should work. I got samples free from http://www.bwire.com/ They helped me out a lot and gave me a really good price for some cut pieces of this material.
