We have a cat deterant but in our old house it didnt bother one cat maybe that was deaf or something but we were forever chasing it away, dont know about electric fence. What about putting fenceguard prickler along fence so they cant get in???? Good luck ;D

We are running a sweep stake at Lightning's work (MITIE PROPERTY SERVICES )but with a slight twist, instead of horses we are using our pigeons. This will hopefully educate non fanciers into the joys of racing pigeons.. ;D This year we are hoping to race a strong YB team (50) and the idea is to put all our pigeons in a hat with a given name (for the non fancier) and get collegues to pick a pigeon from the hat. All money will be split 50/50 prize money/ nominated charity. Race results will be published arounf offices increasing non fancier awareness and create some interest. What we now is some good old pigeonbasics wit and come up with some good names for the birds??? i.e I'm a goodun, Stormtrooper...... Come on guys help me out got a few names to think of.... :K)

Think we should be getting the snow tomorrow I was gonna let my YB's out for the first time today but it's blowing a gale, light rain and bitter bitter cold at the minute guess i will have to wait Have fun in the snow Tammy ;D

That was the first and last year we will be going up.. I drove 2 hours with a toddler who hates the car and what for nothing at all.... Only good thing was that we finally got to meet PigeonPete ;D and little Jordan 8)(fantasic guys) and got the 2 YB's he bred for us. Lovely looking birds, my first redden in the shed. Would like to take the opportunity to thank Pete for the lovely birds will keep you updated. Also good luck with the pregnancy (the wife that is) and with 2007 racing!!! Keep in contact XX :K)

Further to our previous post yesterday just thought you would like to see the loft painted... ;D

The windows are covered in 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch weld mesh and will be closed up at nite and when on darkness with internal shutters. Thanx for kind comments, took a while still abit to go but worth the wait. We cant wait to get some YB's in and start racing

We found that going through open doors is better. Doors open, down and straight in to their box (or thats how it shoud go). Good luck

Well i have kept birds for 5 years now. When i met Lightning and we brought our very first house i vowed not to have a loft in the garden as we lived next door to his parents who Lightning is in partnership with and where the huge loft is. I went visiting my parents for a week and when i got home the loft framework was up. CHEEKY!!! : But when we put babys in i started to come around and loved looking after them. Now i love them wouldn't be with out them, and getting as competative as Lightning

We are the same as you Paul we are not starting till YB's as we moved to our new house in November and our loft is still not finished. We have our stock birds and breeding in our garage, wont be long now. Lightning McQueen cant eat on a race day he spends most of the morning on the loo. Looking foward to racing
