  1. Other members say " Widowhood " is good, but my research shows it quite an old book, with an american view on pigeons. I think
  2. Recently wanted to buy some " beginner " pigeon books. Looked on a well known online book shop and fancied one by David Glover " Racing Pigeons " Anyway £16 odd. Thought my local library would'nt have any pigeon books, but checked online and found the book I wanted above and another one on order. RESULT Saved myself £16 odd and looking forward to reading it
  3. Sorry, I meant, push it in front ways and push it out backways
  4. Another how longs a piece of string question; How much time would I have to devote to a pair of birds a day ? I know a lot of you devote hours a day to your's, but I'm just trying to get a picture of time for the sport. I walk my dog for 20 minutes in the morning and 40 minutes at night.
  5. Cant take the door off as I've got a scooter that side of the garage, ie drive it in, reverse it out
  6. I know it's hard but to try and help a newbie; How much would it cost to keep a pair of pigeons after initial outlay, say for a month or a week ? I know we cant factor in things like vets bills etc but for food and general expenses, for example it cost me about a £5 a week for my dog ! Is there anything I'm missing ? Thanks Mark.
  7. Neighbours one side dont mind, he had 40 pigeons himself years ago, havent asked the other side yet. Cant see it being a problem though
  8. Have this garage, Have space inside for a loft, but was thinking of taking out the window and extending out for a landing platform, and then incorparating the loft behind the window. What do you guys and girls think ? Only planning on getting 2 birds to start with.
  9. Thank you all for you'r replies and Pms. Mark.
