sapper756 Posted May 13 Author Report Posted May 13 Possibly exciting times ahead for Ted!! 😁 To make the race weekend longer and definitely even more exciting for Ted! Ted is handing in an application to join a new club this Friday! in the hope they will accept Ted in and that way Ted can have two races in a weekend!! 😁 it’s exciting as the club Ted is in now and the possible new club are about 20 yards from each other!! So it makes it easy for Ted to enter the two clubs which are in different federations at the same location!! 😁😁 fingers crossed they let Ted in!! 🤞 I’m hoping they do as they’ve been on t.v trying to promote pigeon racing to young children! 😁🕊️

sapper756 Posted June 29 Author Report Posted June 29 A heartwarming story from the Blackwater Racing Pigeon Club. Young Jaxon was born with ventriculomegaly — an abnormality of the brain. Though he was always happy to talk, he struggled to open up and connect with people around him, including his classmates. That all changed when club member Jay Greene introduced Jaxon to the sport of racing pigeons. Jaxon formed such an incredibly strong bond with the birds that it transformed his whole personality. Almost overnight, he became far more engaged and confident with his family and friends. He now visits Jay’s loft regularly, where he has even named some of the pigeons. This week, Jaxon came to the club to present Noel with his award for winning the gruelling 277-mile race from St. Pol de Leon in France back home to Wexford. Jaxon was absolutely over the moon to have his photo taken with Noel, holding the pigeon he has named Bolt the very pigeon that made the epic journey.

sapper756 Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago Deakyn had another awesome race day yesterday! 🏁 Here is Deakyn with his winning bird, "Tío." The birds have been flying in the 1300s YPM all season. A huge shout out to Jose Vasquez for not only breeding this incredible bird, but for everything he does for Deakyn and all of the 4-H kids. This year, Jose generously bred & donated birds to every JC Flyers member to race. He shares a wealth of knowledge, encourages the kids every step of the way, and is an incredible mentor. We are so thankful for everything he does to help these young fanciers succeed. Tomorrow is our final 4-H race of the Young Bird season. Best of luck to all of tomorrow's racers! May the winds be in your favor, and as Deakyn would say... "Stay fly, fam!"
