Holland v Brazil preview Two sides bid to make semi-finals http://img.skysports.com/10/06/218x298/Arjen-Robben-celeb-Holland-v-Slovakia_2471697.jpg Robben: Faces Brazil Teams Port Elizabeth is the venue for one of the most intriguing ties of the World Cup so far this Friday, as Holland take on Brazil. The two sides have a rich history in the competition and go into the quarter-final tie on the back of some impressive results in South Africahttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif this summer. Five-time champions Brazil topped their group and easily dispatched of Chile 3-0 in the second round, while the Dutch deservedly saw off the challenge of Slovakia 2-1 after winning every game in the group stage. It sets up an encounter that will be eagerly anticipated by the purists, although two teams famous for playing attractive, free-flowing football have been adopting a more cautious style of late. Dunga's Brazil have been most impressive in defence and the coach has built a team not dissimilar to the one which lifted the trophy in 1994 - himself the captain of that side. Of course, they still have attacking flair in abundance and with Kaka and Robinho beginning to hit form, they are also a formidable force going forward. With Luis Fabianohttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif forming an excellent understanding with those supporting attackers, Dunga seems to have struck the right balance and fused a team of workers with highly-gifted individuals. Holland, meanwhile, have not produced the total football of old but are not in the last eight by pure coincidence. They head into the game on a 23-match unbeaten run and were rarely troubled by Denmark, Cameroon and Japan in the group. Manager Bert van Marwijkhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif has received criticism for not playing in the typical Dutch way, but if the Oranje return home with the trophy in hand, few will be complaining WHO WILL WALK AWAY WINNERS?

20100701 Murray - I have to believe Scot says right mental approach is vital if he is to beat world number one Last updated: 1st July 2010 http://img.skysports.com/10/06/218x298/Andy-Murray-Wimbledon-round-four_2471792.jpg Murray: Needs self-belief The Scot beat the world number one in their last meeting in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in January but is under no illusions about the size of his task ahead against Nadal,http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif who is on a 12-match winning streak at the All England Club having won the title in 2008 before injury prevented a title defence last year. Murrayhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif said: "He will definitely be the favourite for the match with his results here the last few years. He obviously didn't get a chance to defend his title last year, but he's played three finals in a row and now he's in the semis here. "He's obviously a very tough player on any surface but he plays great tennis here. Psychologically I need to believe that I can win the match. That's the most important thing." The pressure on Murray to become the first home player to reach the men's singles final at Wimbledonhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif since Bunny Austin back in 1938 will be immense when he steps out on to Centre Court. GOOD LUCK ANDY!!!!!

Twisted And Broken Legs
sapper756 replied to Whats it called Cumbernauld's topic in Health & Feeding
Good advice, however I would add, that if the broken leg is the one with the ring on it, you need to keep an eye on it, as it may swell so much that the ring may need to be removedhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif I also cut small sections of cotton buds and place these around the leg to act as a splint, before taping up. GOOD LUCK M8http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif -
http://beta.thecourier.co.uk/img/photos/biz/photo_3527_wide_crop.jpg Pigeon fancier John Duthie's all aflutter A Dundee pigeon fancier is flying high after winning Scotland’s most prestigious racing competitionJohn Duthie, of Harestane Road, pulled off a coup for Dundee's racing pigeon community by landing the first prize in the Scottish National Flyers Club's Gold Cup event. His triumph is reckoned to be the first time a city trainer has won the competition in its 100-year history. The race, which is considered to be the Grand National of pigeon racing, saw more than 1000 birds fly home to Scotland from Reims in France. John's four-year-old pigeon, Better Still, proved the fastest, covering the 582 miles back to Dundee in just under 14 hours on Friday. "It is the most prestigious race in Scotland so I am over the moon," said John. "I couldn't believe it — I went about in a daze afterwards. "It was only confirmed on Sunday night and I could hardly sleep I was so excited about it. "It is absolutely fantastic." John, who is married with three children, said the win — which comes with a £1000 prize — was the proudest moment in his 35 years of racing pigeons. "I took it up as a kid and just kept it up ever since," he said. "I had some success before, but to win it is just amazing. "This pigeon's father was a great racer and I called him As Good As It Gets, but Better Still has really lived up to his name." But John, a member of the Dundee and District racing pigeon club, said he was postponing any celebratory "do" until the end of the racing season. "I've had people from all over Scotland saying we'll have to celebrate, but I can't do it yet as we still have national competitions every weekend at the minute. "But once they're finished we'll definitely be having a party — we're good at that!" Andrew Thomson, president of the Dundee Federation of Racing Pigeons, agreed the win was great coup for the city's racing pigeon fraternity. "As far as I am aware nobody from Dundee has ever won it before in its 100-year history. "It is terrific for Dundee that John has done this."

Have to agree with both previous posts, if you allow one of the original cocks to take up a new box, the chances are he will also keep ownership of his original box, which will result in fightinghttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif
