Does anyone know the origins of the poem i know as "the pigeon fancier" The boy sat on the garden seat in most inclement weather. He'd been sitting there for hours and hours but hadn't seen a feather Then a dot appeared in the sky it came down like a rocket. His legs, they turned to jelly as he ran in to clock it. I knew i'd get him in this race for i sent him at his peak. Oh joy Oh bliss Oh blooming heck its one back from last week!! I've known this since around 1976 but for the life of me i don't remember the author, any takers. Prize of a latebred off a doo that took a week out of 104mls this year
Announced when i was 17 that i was joining the RAF, ma Da's response was to the point "your joining nae RAF, awe you'll dae is spend 3 years in jankers and get flung oot for no takin a tellin" older i've got the more i agree with him
Sent you another Pm, but in case its not arrived, i'm seeing ma mate tomorrow and i'll get back to you the morra night. Will hopefully have some ready for taking this week, i'm sure he said some were ready the now. If it'll make communication easier PM me your mobile No and i'll text you.
Thats pretty much how i'm hearing it, especially yearlings, seemed to be plenty missing at clock station last night, though i'm quite happy with ma own returns lots of fanciers have had a stinker.
Very well done J&J, that was a hard one today. I got 12/15 home, only sent yearlings, first doo 15,26,14. last doo at 19.25, ma 5th 8th and 10th doos are all latebreds, untrained/raced last year. Happy with them.
