Upgrading Unicon Champ

Some time ago I wanted to upgrade my Unicon champ 500 to a

Champ PC500 Plus the one that texts you when you get birds and was told

if I waited until 2018 I would get the new system that was coming out and the

cost would be just under £200. Now they tell this system is on hold so I said I would

then upgrade to the system as it is but was told I could not do this although people

on the system are still using it. It all seems strange has any one heard anything about this.
