Hope you get your dollars back.......................... While we are on it I get sick of people pm'ing posing as 'young' fanciers trying to cadge my whites for next to nothing........ Luckily I'm no fool...and smell this 'old chestnut'........... a mile off :-/
883girl Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 I'm a newbie and am now becoming paranoid. I am desperate to find some white pigeons but now i am not sure who to trust. I've already had contact from the blacklisted pigeon lad jamie cox and thanks to you guys i was lucky enough not to fall for it, though i still can not find any white racing pigeons. Are there reputable sellers out there that anyone can put me in touch with. I have a lovely loft waiting for its beautiful new family and no one to move in.

Pure white racing pigoerns are extremely difficult to get hold of........I currently have around 25 breeding pairs that has taken me several years to obtain the best stock and breed my self a team.....................personally....I'll be honest..............I dont sell many at all......and those that keep them tend not to either......Beware....there are plenty of bandits out there that will sell you rubbish.......especially if you are a new - comer................I hear on one guy who folked out £45 per birds.....only when he recieved them..they were nothing but cheap shortailed garden doves!!!! BE CAUTIOUS
DOVEScot Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 i agree with the idea of putting a third party in to a deal i offered the opportuntiy but got no response as i wanted the webmaster or a moderator to act as a middle man for a percentage of the sale price. could we not initiate some form of feedback and register sellers with a bit more detail ie a seperate membership from the other members where loft numbers etc must be supplied Not all members have information you can verify, like loft numbers, it seems like Coxy has some sort of RPA number and look what he does If you are not sure of the seller Third party is the easiest option, you send the money to third party as agreed, the buyer gets the goods as described, then the third party passes on the money to the seller I am sure the coxy's would stop operating under these conditions Same could safeguard sellers who breed birds for people and never see them again and their money I am sure there are established and respected members who would offer third party services
