Hi guys,

I dont know what to do with my pigeon!, i opened the window, and i left him alone, on the window, to see if he go out, but he did not, then i open the door, and put him ouside the house, and he flu back into the house.

I start having wandering if he is a rancin pigeon or not, he is very attached to me now, he stays on my shoulder !

Do they behave in this way?are they trained to be so frandly?or he is a home pigeon, who was someone pat...and got lost???

Any more ideeas about his ring????

WRRC 07 SA 048

pLS if you have any clue , tell me....

i did opened his wings, there is noting written there, no name, no stampsHe is white, and it looks like someone painted him with a red colour on the head and back and bit on the wings

He took a bath today(in the sink), and that red did not washed away.

I will put somme pic.so U can see what i am talking about.

thanks for the info, i`l try some corn, he may like it....If he belongs to a club, i dont understand why he doesnt want to go back, as whenever i try to get him out of the house, as he stays on my hand, he just run inside as fast as he can..

may be is is traumatized.Anyway, i just hope he doesnt have any diseases, as i dont want to make my buggies sick,in rest...what can i say...he can stay to my house as long as he likes, i wanted to give him to RSPCA,but i fee sorry 4 him,he deserve someting better.thanks alot guys again. You`ve been on a real help.X

young rollers are well known for getting them selves lost !!!!! even a good strong wind will push him well away from home before it knows where it is,then its lost !!!!

rollers have basically no homing instinct compared to a homer or racer,so,enjoy the new company k29 and lets know how you get on further down the line with your new found friend !!!!!

well done and good luck !!!

thanks,again....one mor q. should i take him to a Vet for any vaccination?or he will be ok as it is?and....how do i finde out if he is a male or a female?as i know in buggies you make the diifrence by the colour what they have on there nose(blue-male,brown-female).Is is samme with the pigeons?

up to you if you want to vaccinate, but,if just kept for pet and as you have no other pigeons with him, personaly i would not, but, your choice !!!

there is no significant way to tell a male or female in looks in a pigeon, unlike budgies with brown or blue nose,,,the pigeon in your pic looks a young one by the pink nose on your bird,it will start mature in about 5-7 months and then its behaviour will normally tell you if its a cock or hen basically !!!!

hope that helps a bit !!!!

Hi guys.

I had some problems with the pigeon, he start beeing agresive, and did not wanted to eat anything, so today i popt in RSPCA , and they took it straith away. They told me that they will contact the pigeon association and they will finde out the club where he belongs to.I wanted to keep him as a pet, but i changed my minde when i sow that he doesnt want to eat, he becomes agresive, and agitated, and as i had no chance to convince him to fly by himself, i tought that RSPCA is the best solution.

Anyway i will contact them after 2 days to see if they had any luck.

Thanks again for your replay.Keep in touch.
