• Message = Hi I help run a lost/ found/ injured animal group in Hong Kong & one of our members has found a Pigeon with a numbered leg band.
• Please do you have any details of how we can trace the owner & return his bird.

• Many thanks for your reply,
• Unfortunately the bird was sent to the Government Animal Centre & was euthanised. The Govt will not release birds which are in the class of Duck, Pigeon, Chicken etc, even healthy ones because of Bird Flu.

• If I had been able to take possession of the bird I would have kept it and after recovery, either released it or returned it to the owner. In future cases we will work for a better outcome.
