  • Message = I was walking open country in the Barwick In Elmet, east of Leeds, area yesterday and found the half eaten remains of a bird on a fence post - obviously a freshly abandoned meal of a bird of prey. The one remaining leg and wing had a few white feathers left on and a red ring. The number on the ring was NWHU 2012 X 5619. I have a photo of the carcase if anyone is interested. Sad fate, and I would be interested to know how far it had flown and when its whereabouts were last known.
