i recieved a pm from the webmaster last week after i complained about a certain moderator and he told me that he has sugested to moderators that they should not moderate on threads that they are posting on so bruno has just closed a thread that he clearly got involved in so can you tell me if this is what you were meaning webmaster or does this rule not cover bruno?

Fair point but i think that the form members should know what the webmaster said thats all may be the mods. dont know that

just to make a point frank on the pm u got, and asking if this rule does not cover bruno, read the pm again, QUOTE: he has SUGGESTED to moderators, a suggestion really is not a rule or a command is it, just making a point,

The subject of this thread is 'Webmaster PM'.

 

The initial post is a reply to a complaint on moderators locking threads on which they have previously posted.

 

The Webmaster's reply has been taken as a green light to use this thread to restart 'no comments' thread locked by me after the person who posted the thread asked that it be closed because some had used it to slag others off.

 

Thats exactly what has occurred here again, slagging match, with at least one member asking that it be stopped.

 

It is also the case that a thread can be unlocked. It is perhaps silent testimony to the work of my fellow moderators that not one thread locked by any of us, including the threads Frankdooman complained of, has the Webmaster seen fit to unlock.

 

And it should also be pointed out that restarting a thread closed by a moderator is also against the Code of Conduct.
