cushy doo you are right this is not right to put on an open thread but to many in the sport think like this or should i say dont think before they open their big mouths so are you in disquise or is it me joe61 who is the RSPCA inspector

oh happy days

and i wonder why they think like this? would it be because the rspb do nothing except for look out for the perigrine with no feelings for other species of birds they are supposed to be looking out to help!!! and all the while they release more n more into over populated areas of the country the perigrine is not an endangered bird..there are far more birds need a boost than these... and as for who is undercover..well i dont give 2 monkeys if you have hidden agendas

Cushy Doo

Why would you find this advice shocking, asking because its something I would also recommend, just curiious, maybe you have a better method.

you know as well as i that we arent talking bout curry powder,  over the last few months there have been some hurrendous posts on here about shooting, trapping and poisoning hawks  mostly in innunendo  but there are plain to see,  theses posts do nothing for our sport,, may i remind you that these birds are PROTECTED BY LAW wither you like it or not,

Why? i notice that 1 of your other posts is about birds of prey aswell are you on this forum in disguise? are you really a pigeon man at all? :-/ :-/ :-/

yes i keep and race doos , but i also see the bigger picture , if you put out nuts, you attract finches etc , if you release birds you attract preditors ,  jist sick of seeing posts on here about harming birds

hi gangster im only joking as you know but these people only bring our sport down if its not the hawk then its the poor old moggy you know what i mean then we wonder why we are looked upon with disdain pigeon racing is bought to gutter level by coments from people like swilcox merlin & jimmy

oh happy days

everyones welcome on here...but i dont see any conceren for our birds from you...

well apart from putting up discs , plastic owls  etc , theres not a lot else you can do to stop attacks , but theres no excuse for posting on how to harm them on an open forum ,and i am shocked that the owner of this site allows it, just because its on the net doesnt mean you cant be held accountable

By this token as regards above, you appear to have no problem with fanciers loft and birds being feeding tables for the B.P.P.

my dad keeps birds of prey including eagle owls and harris hawks, he also races pigeons and he's noticed that there isnt sparrow hawks etc in his area anymore it would seem that just having these larger birds of prey scare those smaller one which target pigeon out of the area.

yes it annoys me , but its nature ,all be it cocked in favour of the hawk , look you and i know what goes on in the back gardens of fanciers up and down the country , it just doesnt need to be posted here

Agree with you Cushy but its not about me and you sadly, at this stage its almost everywhere now, there are many that dont, posts do prove this, and if any fanciers can glean some solid infor as regards lessening these instances, now or in the future,by whatever means, this surely cant be such a bad thing

and that is sadly just what they are to hawks , why go looking for food when there is a big feeding station full of doos at the bottom of your garden ,
