Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 relating to, appealing to, or available to the broad masses of the people <democratic art>
OLDYELLOW Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 as previously stated we need to take one step at a time in order to remove the draconian imprint of the past . I strongly believe as theres nearly 3 thousand members on this site yes a small percentage but surely the finds of a poll and everyones name loft number club and unions would give us something to present to all the unions.papers cheap enough to print all fanciers from there union to present to all unions then surely they would have to look at it or the other alternative is to start a new one for all.
Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 OldYellow Guess one of the first things to do is draw up a list of Issues to be examined. You are right to say that this site may hold some of the Answers to our way forward. Change, for the right to change As i have already said this can not be done over night,it will take time and a great deal of thought but i for one think doing something , at least lets the powers at be knoe that the fanciers days of sitting back and doing nothing is over.
Guest Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 The simple answer to all of the problems is [TO START FROM SCRATCH ] meaning pull out of the RPRA ,and form a new governing body that would take notice of what we want ,but like i said it will never happen to many people set in their ways ,but it would be nice if it did .ATB les.
OLDYELLOW Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 I suppose Les that if the existing Unions werent open to it then a restart would be in order, as long as a bird is registered to the keeper then it could have any wording on it , as long as the union existed and if enough demand for it then i'd be willing to start it , with help from other like thinking members. As for pulling out that would take ten years or untill all your existing birds had new union rings on, but over that time if the new union were to grow they would seriously loose revenue and cease to exist. Or the existing rings could be put on the members information.
