OK....my club don't want ets...which is fair enough as i don't believe in forcing anybody to accept what they don't like..BUT i would like to use ets in the nrcc. looking at the rules i could register my unit ok but how would i be able to get the rings assigned to my birds ? this is genuine question... NO arguments. any helpful replies/pms apreciated. thanks :)

Spin,

I am in a similar position, but am led to believe that the first member to buy an ETS new, (dependant on what type you purchase), in each club also gets the club master to scan and allocate the rings.

All you would then need to get is a laptop to log all the results.

Hope this helps.

thanks you're right ( i think)...but i'd need two officials to scan them...which i wouldn't have...so the question is where else could i go to get them allocated ?

I am sure that two of your club members could be given a few lessons on how to use it and therefore help with the scanning of the rings.

That is what is happening at our club next year ;-)
