just wondering what pooling is and how it works, ive gathered that its like betting on 1 of your own birds? but how does it work? who wins what?

will just use 10p pools as an example. on the sheet above you can see he has 7 birds in the 10p pool. in the race their is 67 birds in the 10p pool. the pool split for this race is 1 in 15. so the 1st bird home in 10p pools wins £1.50 15 x 10p the 2nd £1.50 3rd £1.50 4th£1.50 the 5th 70p .the 5th only gets 70p as thats all thats left in the 10p pools.all pools are worked out much the same. the split might change to 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 or even 1 in 5 for bigger pools ie £20 pools
