I always thought that was just one of those sayings, until last night when I looked up at the moon and there was two of them, basically side by side with a blue ring around the main one, anyway wife googled it and to say we were amazed is without doubt, it is a sign of bad weather usually snow, and the blue halo is the icicles in the clouds 2000 feet up reflecting the moon back and acting as a mirror creating two moons, according to google this happens once or twice a year but can honestly say in all my years this was my first time of witnessing it, anybody else see it?
